Community Livng Toronto was established almost 60 years ago by parents and family members who had a vision of a caring community that welcomed individuals with different abilities. Those parents and family members continue to be the grassroots of the Community Living movement. With over 1100 members, Community Living Toronto works with individuals with an intellectual disability, their families, friends and the community to ensure they are included in all aspects of society.

As a member,

- You are part of a provincial and national movement advocating for the rights of people who have an intellectual disability to be supported, included and respected in their community.

- You influence the work of Community Living Toronto by voting on important issues presented at the Annual General meeting. You also have an opportunity to be elected to Regional Councils, the Self Advocates Council (if you are a self advocate) and the Board of Directors.

- You are provided with up-to-date information and articles that relate to people with an intellectual disability, the disability movement and the developmental services sector through newsletters, e-mails and through our website.
