Student Placement

Are you a student?


We can help you find a placement that meets your individual learning ojectives.  We provide opportunities to work with qualified staff, practice theory and gain hands-on experience.

 

Community Living Toronto will try to provide placements that accommodate schedules, geographic preferences and work accommodation.

Schools

The following schools have placed students with Community Living Toronto:

from the following programs:

  • Developmental Services Worker
  • Social Services Worker
  • Early Childhood Education
  • Behavioual Science Technology
  • Social Work
  • Recreation and Leisure
  • Personal Support Worker
  • Other related studies

Requirements

All students will complete an application and interview process.  Students must:

  • be enrolled in a recognized program
  • have or be ready to complete a 'Learning Contact'
  • have a current medical
  • have a completed Police Reference Check for Vulnerable Individuals
  • be assigned a school program co-ordinator
  • be available and willing to learn!

Awards

Community Living Toronto provides a $500 annual award to:

Centennial College:  to a student in the graduating year of the Developmental Services Worker program with the highest cumulative GPA.

Humber College: to a student in the Developmental Servicse Worker program who has achieved academic excellence, excellence in field practice and has shown strong commitmetn to community inclusion.
